Getting started — from install to first fix
AutoPilot layers on top of the free CloudAxe Email Core, so onboarding is two installs and one paste of a license key. Here is the whole path.
Install CloudAxe Email Core (free)
AutoPilot is an add-on, not a standalone plugin. Core handles the mail pipeline — provider connections, queue, failover, logging, and the 0–100 Email Health Score. Install it first.
Get CloudAxe Email CoreRun the setup wizard
Core's wizard checks your site automatically, recommends the best provider for your setup, imports settings from an existing email plugin if it finds one, verifies a test send, and reveals your starting Health Score. Usually under three minutes, with a manual-setup escape hatch on every step.
Add AutoPilot and activate
Install the AutoPilot plugin, then paste your license key once in wp-admin. The key is exchanged for a per-installation token at activation — it is never stored in plaintext and never used for routine API calls.

Your first environment analysis runs right away. Recommendations wait in the review queue — each with its risk class, what it will do, and why it was suggested. Nothing changes on your site until you approve it.

Guided fixes, gated by risk
AutoPilot never changes your site silently. Every suggested action is classified into one of three risk tiers, and the tier decides how much confirmation is required.
Retry a failed email, switch to a backup provider, restart the queue. One tap, and reversible. Safe actions only run automatically if you explicitly enable that.

Security model, in plain terms
AutoPilot talks to the CloudAxe control plane over HTTPS with a key-pair handshake designed so that a breach of our API can never hand anyone your credentials — or control of your WordPress.
Your keys never leave your site
AutoPilot generates an Ed25519 key pair inside WordPress. The private key stays on your server — the control plane only ever sees the public half.
Short-lived, scoped tokens
API sessions are 15-minute scoped tokens issued through a signed nonce challenge. No long-lived credentials sit in your database.
Signed entitlements, offline-tolerant
Your plan is delivered as an Ed25519-signed document with a 30-day validity window and a 14-day grace period — a control-plane outage never locks you out of your site.
Fail-safe, not fail-open
If the control plane is unreachable or uncertain, AutoPilot degrades to free-tier behavior. It never assumes a paid entitlement it cannot verify.
Every action audited
Approvals, executions, and refusals all write to a local audit log with a 90-day default retention. You can always see who approved what, and when.
No unrestricted AI access
AI reasoning runs server-side against facts your site sends. It cannot browse your WordPress, read arbitrary data, or act on its own — recommendations surface to you, and you decide.
